Triangle Tech Connect is a monthly review of local entrepreneurial Technology Sales and Marketing career opportunities.

If you weren’t fortunate enough to be among the 200 plus attendees at last week’s sold out Triangle AMA Luncheon then you missed a real treat. The first CMO “She Suite” panel moderated by Karen Albritton (CEO and President of Capstrat), featured 5 top marketing leaders from our community: Jackie Yeaney (Redhat), Catherine Harrell (Citrix), Amy Pirozzolo (Fidelity Charitable), Dana McMahan (TOPO Distillery), and Carol Wentworth (Performance Bicycle).

So why am I leading with the luncheon for this issue? Simple. The panel not only wowed us with their insight on today’s marketing trends, visions for 2017 and beyond, and their own personal stories of success, they are also hiring. The audience got an opportunity to hear first-hand what these impressive leaders look for when building their organizations. In addition to key marketing skills Jackie Yeaney, Marketing Executive for Redhat looks for candidates that demonstrate traits of curiosity, storytelling capabilities, empathy, determination, flexibility, and grit. Grit may be difficult to show in a resume but here is your chance to show just how creative you are. Marketing Specialist, Program Marketing Managers, Corporate Communications Manager, Graphic Designer, and Marketing Program Analyst, Inside Sales Manager, and Inside Sales Account Manager are some of the jobs available.

Ok, so Citrix isn’t exactly the small startup that is usually featured in this publication but with 14 available sales and marketing positions in Raleigh they couldn’t be ignored. This award-winning company that includes Glassdoor’s 2014 Best Places to Work, Top Companies in Cultures and Values, and Highest rated CEOs has 10 Marketing openings that include Marketing Operations Specialist, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Senior Partner Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing Manager, Associate Product Marketing Manager for Market Research, Director of Marketing for Conversion and Engagement, Senior Marketing UX Designer, and Demand Generation Manager.
