Who’s Hiring for Sales and Marketing in January 2016

Welcome to 2016. I think many would agree that the year has gotten off to an interesting start. Facing an election year, stock market woes, Ageism, and the trickle-down effects of Obamacare it is too soon to say just how much overall hiring will be affected. Personally, I believe that 2016 will see continued underemployment and limited job growth and it will again be the hard working job seeker that suffers particularly for those 40 and over. Moving on let’s take a look at who is hiring in January.

Adwerx is doing it right. It shouldn’t take them long to attract strong candidates for their Sales Operations Manager, PPC Product Marketing Manager, and a Production Graphic Designer roles.

Join the four-time Best Place to Work in the Triangle startup, Automated Insights. They started searching for a Marketing Manager that will plan, execute, and measure demand generation campaigns to support the growth of customer base using their own Saas-based Wordsmith product. The company’s search includes a Product Manager with a solid customer service, managed service, product marketing, or account management background.

Etailinsights, led by former Bronto Director of Business Development, is looking for a Software Sales Executive with 3 years of sales experience and knowledge of web-based software as a service (SaaS), eCommerce/Online Retail. A shoutout to my former candidate Lindsey Boggs who is now their VP of Enterprise Sales and Managed Services.

Founded in 1999 as Proof-it-Online, InmotionNow allowed creative departments to automate workflows with a SaaS platform to get content proofed and approved. In 2009, it launched inMotion for videos and animation. The Morrisville based company rebranded in 2012 as InMotionNow and has been growing ever since. A Content Marketing Manager, Customer Success Manager, Director of Customer Success, Inbound Marketing Manager, and Technical Account Manager are all priority hires for 2016.

A Raleigh based startup, KnowledgeTree, that accelerates sales through content optimization is hiring a Sales Account Executive and a Sales Development Representative.

RevBoss provides outbound sales development and is hiring a Business Development professional for their Durham location. Noteworthy is that Founder and CEO, Eric Boggs, was the Founder and CEO at social media management platform provider Argyle Social and employee #1 at email marketing service provider Bronto.

For readers who are in transition check out the Triangle AMA Transition Special Interest Group which started in November 2015. The Transitions SIG provides a forum for marketers who are between jobs, are under-employed or who simply want to sharpen their personal branding and job search skills. This group meets twice a month. In the first monthly meeting, one hour is devoted to guest speakers who share their expertise about current best practices in networking, cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn and more.
