North Carolina’s Triangle is developing into a popular technology market. With the country’s sixth lowest average annual cost per employee–at 175 square feet per person–Raleigh-Durham’s tech sector presence will continue to expand in 2016. ArchiveSocial, maker of a social media archiving solution for records management, regulatory compliance, and e-discovery, is on a hiring spree thanks to recent investor. Among the postions is an Inside Sales Representative.
CloudFactory, provider of an online work platform with offices in Durham, Nairobi, Kathmandu and Hong Kong, is hiring a Strategic Account Manager and an Account Executive.
Forecast Health, a Durham-based health care analytics startup, raised $1.5 million from private investors and will now begin to market itself as a company that can bring better predictive analysis to health care organizations. The company employs four full-time workers and contracts with five others, and will soon add three more full-timers in sales. About half the money raised will support sales and the other half support further product development.
Lea(R)n, led by CEO, Karl Rectanus, provides a complete online edtech management system and is a high-growth, funded, certified “B” (“for benefit”) corporation. They have been named the 2014 North Carolina Technology Company of the Year in Education, a 2015 SxSWedu LAUNCHedu awardee, and a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grantee.
Charlottesville, Virginia-based app developer WillowTree will bring 98 jobs to Durham over three years and investing $245,000. WillowTree, which has a temporary office in Durham’s American Underground posted about $9 million in revenue for 2014, has 112 employees companywide, and has a client list that includes AOL and PepsiCo.
FilterEasy, a Raleigh company that provides an online subscription service that provides air conditioning filters, delivered to your door just landed a $3 million Series A funder. At about 20 employees at its new downtown Raleigh headquarters, FilterEasy plans to double that headcount in 2016. Multiple positions are posted including an e-Commerce Marketer for the person who wants to lead the charge in building the online customer base, manage channels and analyze the outcomes.
Mohu, consumer electronics manufacturer and creator of the BeBox – an integrated Android-based user interface that allows users to load music directly on the device has a hundred employees and is advertising Sales, Marketing, and Graphic Design.
Shiftzen, provider of employee scheduling software, is looking for a Director of Marketing.
