There is no such thing as a “permanent” job anymore. On 12/7, the Triangle American Marketing Association’s Transitions SIG Speaker’s Series will host Joe Novara, a professional speaker and author of the book “Intentional Networking”. During his seminars and workshops, Joe takes the WORK out of NETWORKING by teaching simple techniques, tips and systems, helping job seekers get the most out of their networking so they can build strong connections and learn about opportunities sooner.
The Triangle AMA has started the Transitions SIG to provide a forum for marketers who are between jobs, are under-employed or who simply want to sharpen their personal branding and job search skills. This group meets twice a month. In the first monthly meeting, one hour is devoted to guest speakers who share their expertise about current best practices in networking, cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn and more. The remaining time is spent in group discussion. The second meeting of the month is devoted entirely to group discussion. This is where we do a deep dive into what’s working in our search versus what’s not, and even facilitate introductions to decision-makers

The Transitions SIG is held twice a month from 1:00PM – 2:30PM in two different locations. We meet the first Monday of every month in the Fusion room at The Frontier, located at 800 Park Offices Dr., Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. We also meet the third Wednesday of every month from 2:30PM – 4:00PM at Carolina Cafe at 137 Weston Parkway in Cary, NC 27513.
There is no fee or membership required to attend these sessions.
